Gender Wars
Over the years I followed the usenet newsgroup net.women, now soc.women which later spawned soc.men. I really don’t know why; habit I guess or masochism. It has spawned an interest in gender issues. Some one of these days I will write some essays of opinion and commentary. In the meantime here are some collected links.
Nancy Johnson was the woman who invented the home made ice cream maker, the kind in which you put rock salt and ice around a cylinder that you hand crank. She didn’t patent it; she gave Ice Cream to the People. Generations of small children (of whom I was one) owed her a debt of gratitude every time we got to lick the paddle.
