The Vampire

It was a time to be afraid. It was late. The night was dark. The gas street lights barely cut through the gloom of the fog. Somewhere nearby a streetwalker called out to a passerby and invited him to sample her wares. Within the shadows of an alley I sensed rather than saw a shapeless form. My mind dimmed as the vampire’s glamour took hold. With a strength greater than that of mortal man he burst forth, took hold of me, pulled me into the alley, and prepared to feast. As his fangs neared my throat I smiled.

I do so love the taste of vampire blood.
