A fountain of errors

In the sci.logic newsgroup a gentleman who shall remain nameless complained as follows:

Gentlemen – let’s try to remember that we are, at bare minimum, grad students here, unless departments are now giving accounts to the undergrads. A certain level of maturity is expected when work is being discussed. Comments like “bite me”, while acceptable in soc.singles, are highly inappropriate here, and add nothing to the conversation. I’m trying to remember that this is sci.logic.
In response I replied:

Dear me, a veritable fountain of errors, both logical and factual. Primus: there is no evidence that any signifigant percentage of contributors are gentlemen — either by birth, or breeding, or rearing, or by practice, or by inclination, or even (I blush to mention the word) by gender. Secundus: while it may indeed be true that some signifigant percentage of the contributors and faithful readers are graduate students, one must always recall that this is a public facility which is accessible to all sorts of scaff and raff — including graduate students. [Translation for certain graduate students: The world is somewhat larger and more varied than the academic department in which you are currently being exploited.] In short, while there much to what you say, and I am utterly confident that your sentiments are elevated, logical necessity compels me to say:

Bite me.
