Shakespeare didn’t say it

One gloomy Xmas day in Elsinore Hamlet was assembling a Xmas gift (some assembly required) and had installed the bits of piping labelled A, B, C, and D. Piece E, however, had to have a knot in it. He handed the offending piece to his peculiar and uttered those immortal words,

“Tube E, whore, knot tube E.”
