Cashing a check
A couple of years ago, a man was walking along a major street in N. Augusta, SC. He noticed a personal check lying on the ground and picked it up. He noticed that the check, instead of being made out to “Cash,” was made out to “Bearer on Demand.”
He decided to cash the check and walked into a local bank and approached a teller. “I’d like to cash this check,” he said.
The teller responded “just endorse it on the back, sir.”
The man proceeded to endorse the check “Bearer On Demand;” and was still engaged in a conversation with the teller when the police arrived!
